When you want to edit several projects at the same time with a single MediaComposer, you may feel troubled. But I have a good news for you. I have programmed MediaFolderManager which ables you to switch OMFI MediaFiles. With this program, I produce OMFI MediaFiles for each project and proceed my job switching among files.

There are benefits doing this and those are

  1. There will be less accidents that other people deletes your media by mistake.
  2. It is easier to delete media used in the project ( You just need to trash it. If you trash it with the folder as whole, unrecognizable + unnecessary Pre-ComputeMediaFile will be deleted, too.)
  3. The file size will be smaller because Media Database will be organized for each project.
  4. Although you face a terrible accident that destoryies current Media Database, other files are secured.

I am enjoying stable environment on my MediaComposer by switching Media folders. Not only that, it reduces the amount of memory required, especially on MediaComposer 7.X.

MediaFolderManager is programmed with REALbasic 2.0.2.
