qt2tif

Windows command line program to copy every sample of a quicktime file's video track to multiple tiff files (one per frame).

Specifications

Windows 2000, QuickTime.
Other Windows operating systems may work, but are neither tested nor supported.

Installation

Move the file to the folder where your binary files are located.

Usage

qt2tif [-v] [-s frames] [-l frames] [-o frames] [-p] [-c] [-d] infile.mov outfile.tif

-s frames\n

First frame of movie (0-based)

-l frames\n

Number of frames

-o frames

Number label of the first frame (default = first frame)

-v

Verbose operation

-p

Custom Videopump conversion (based on 709) with the following options

infile.mov

Absolute path of the movie. if the path contains spaces, then it must be quoted.

outfile.tif

Absoulte path of the tiff sequence. if the path contains spaces, then it must be quoted.
use the standard notation %0nd to define the placeholder for the numbering. for example, use myframe%06d.tif for frames starting with myframe000000.tif
the path must exist.

Known errors and workarounds

QT err -50: OpenMovieFile(&sfFile, &movieResFile, fsRdPerm) (qt2tif.cpp line 398)
